2001: A Space Odyssey
On Friday, September 21, The University Musical Society and Michigan Engineering will present a free showing of Stanley Kubrick’s classic 1968 film, 2001: A Space Odyssey. This Oscar award winning classic science fiction film is praised for its innovative use of effects and technology coupled with beautiful music arrangements.
This event will be held at Hill Auditorium with live orchestral and choral accompaniment. You can see the famous cinematic image of a spaceship moving through the universe with a live performance of Johann Strauss’ "Danube Waltz," performed by the Detroit Symphony!
