56th AAFF CALL FOR ENTRIES OPENS JULY 1st!
Well, it’s that time of year again...the Call for Entries for the upcoming 56th Ann Arbor Film Festival opens on July 1st and submissions are allowed through the end of September! As always, the 56th AAFF will continue the tradition of pushing the artistic and technical boundaries of film, showing experimental shorts and features, avant-garde new media work, as well as offering over $20k in cash awards, Academy Award qualification, and opportunities to participate in the Festival's DVD and Touring programs.
The early deadline for the Festival opens on July 1st and ends on July 31st, with a submission fee of $30 for a short film and $40 for a feature. The official deadline starts August 1st and goes until August 31st, with submission fees ranging from $45 for a short film and $55 for a feature. Finally, the late deadline begins on September 1st and ends September 30th, with submission fees ranging from $60 to $70.
Festival-accepted formats for prescreening include 16mm and URL links (submitted through our website or our portal at Withoutabox.com).
All selected filmmakers will be notified of their acceptance by February 1st, 2018.
