WELCOME, ALLISON

Allison Buck joined AAFF in October as our Operations Manager and has already proven to be a huge asset to our team! Prior to joining the Festival team, Allison served as the Program Manager at Artrain & The Arts Alliance for nearly four years. While there Allison managed the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs Region 9 minigrant program and became involved with the New Leaders Arts Council of Michigan. Now co-chair for the New Leaders Arts Council and the newest commissioner of the Ann Arbor Public Art Commission, Allison clearly has a passion for the arts. The Arts Alliance recently awarded her the 2017 Tamara Real Emerging Leadership Award due to her successful work supporting the arts, sciences and humanities throughout Washtenaw County.

We are so excited to have Allison as part of the Festival, as she continues to organize and manage the screening process, implement a new ticketing system for the Festival, manage the donor database, and work with community partners and sponsors to make arrangements for the various events/parties that occur leading up to and during the festival. Everyday presents a different set of challenges and tasks for Allison, and she enjoys the multitude of projects and experiences!

“I'm proud to be working at an organization that is making such an awesome impact on the film community and to be able to use my skills and knowledge to help refine the many systems and programs that keep the festival running.”
