What does offering housing for visiting filmmakers entail?

Housing a visiting filmmaker is one of THE most useful ways to help the film festival. Since we are still in a pandemic,

it is uncertain how many filmmakers will be joining us in Ann Arbor the week of the festival, but we still need to plan for the space!

As with the rest of our in-person festival, we are requiring proof of vaccination and masking. We will ask the same of our visiting filmmakers while they are in shared spaces.

Even if you can only donate space for a portion of the festival, every bit helps! If you are interested in this option to donate your space to a visiting filmmaker, please fill out this form. For any questions, please reach out to

Not sure how you'd like to help?

Sign up to stay in the loop! We need nearly 100 volunteers to help us make the 60th as memorable as we're hoping it will be! We need you to be a part of it all.
