Join Dr. Sean Donovan, Ann Arbor Film Festival Out Night programmer of queer experimental cinema on Friday, June 14 at the Ann Arbor District Library (AADL) Pittsfield branch. For his presentation The Graveyard Closet: A Short History of Queer Horror Cinema with Dr. Sean M. Donovan centering horror films and queerness. A Q&A session will follow the talk, where attendees can further delve into the topic with Dr. Donovan.
Sean Donovan recently earned his PhD in Film, Television, & Media at the University of Michigan. A specialist in LGBTQ media, Sean researches the intersections of gender, sexuality, and media, focusing on how media is used to grapple with history and group identity.
