Make a Trailer for the 59th AAFF!

Make a trailer for the 59th Ann Arbor Film Festival! Each year, we invite film artists to make promotional trailers that creatively represent us as the longest-running experimental film festival in North America, and at the same time, appeal to new audiences.

We encourage you to create an accessible doorway to the often challenging world of experimental film. The trailer should speak to a broad audience and encourage people to attend while helping them understand that we are a great place for the alternative in cinema.

Submitting your trailer does not guarantee it will be used, but if selected, it will be shown for pre-festival on our social media channels, including spots on Detroit Public Television (DPTV), as well as during the festival week preceding film programs.

If selected, you will get a pass to the 59th Ann Arbor Film Festival as well as a limited edition mind-bending tote bag.

The deadline to submit your trailer is January 8, 2021.
