At the last Festival, Irina Patkanian sat down with us to discuss the debut of her film Socrates of Kamchatka, and the timely parable it conveys about the recent Russian socio-political history.

Irina also had kind words for the Festival: "I've heard so much about this Festival, even when I was studying in Iowa and then New York...I've always felt that this is the Festival that most of all celebrates the art of's always been a Festival that celebrates complexity"
