STAFF UPDATE! KYLE STEFEK JOINS MAIN AAFF STAFF

The Ann Arbor Film Festival is pleased to announce that Kyle Stefek has officially joined the Festival as a full time employee! He will carry on in his role as Assistant to the Executive Director and will continue to provide incredible work and support to the Festival’s development and executive needs.

Kyle began his time with the Festival as a Development Intern during the 54th AAFF season in 2015, working closely with our Community and Education Partners. After the 54th Festival in March of 2016, Kyle was offered the chance to become a contract employee with the Festival, and after a summer of interning in Los Angeles with Millennium Films, where he took part in script coverage and casting sessions, Kyle returned to finish his last year at the University of Michigan and to take up his position as Assistant to the Executive Director.

After providing major support in producing and presenting the 55th Festival this past March, Kyle graduated from the University of Michigan, with a dual degree in Screen Arts and Cultures and Communications. He immediately started his work on the 56th Festival season, and this past month secured his position as an official full time employee of the Festival.

After working with Kyle for these past few years and seeing him flourish as an employee and a fellow human being, we are pleased to bring him on as a permanent fixture of the Festival and we cannot wait to see where his work takes the Festival in the future!
