Cherlyn Hsing-Hsin Liu received a Jury Award at the 56th AAFF for her film How Old Are You? How Old Were You? How did you come to know that film would be an important medium for you? I started off my artistic practice in literature and photography and have been interested in all kinds of contemporary arts, such as dance, sculpture and music. And film, as a medium, which is also an art form, contains all possibilities. Once you knew that, what did you do? Did you seek formal training, practical experience, or some combination of the two? The 57th Ann Arbor Film Festival will take place March 26–31, 2019. Please note that press and industry accreditation is issued at the discretion of the festival. The filing of a request for accreditation does not guarantee the issuance of a festival pass. Accreditation for the 57th Ann Arbor Film Festival is free and grants access to all screenings. Apply for your accreditation here. The deadline for requests for accreditation is Thursday, January 31. Notifications will be made shortly thereafter. We hope to see you there!
