Ann Arbor Film Festival
We're pleased to announce that Marin Smith has been promoted to AAFF's Community Engagement Coordinator. We caught up with Marin to chat about her new role, what films she's been watching in quarantine, her favorite memories of AAFF, and more. Check it out below.
I've worked with AAFF since 2018, first as an intern and then eventually becoming the Festival Assistant. I helped coordinate Off The Screen! intermedia artists for the past two festivals and manage AAFF's Touring program as well.
I’m excited to expand the Tour program and incorporate more education opportunities. Stay tuned!
Almost All Ages, it’s always fun and lighthearted. You can watch it now, here.
At my first Ann Arbor Film Festival, I went to see a special program of Barbara Meter films, it was really cool. A dark screening room and old film prints. I never saw anything like it in my film history classes.
I just watched But I’m a Cheerleader and Doubt. People always talk about how good Doubt is, but it was incredible!
That’s really hard! But I’ll go with Middle Child. I have middle child syndrome. I fit the description of a middle child to a T.
Mostly Waxahatchee's new album.
Exclusively soccer shorts I’ve had since I was 10 and my I <3 New York shirt.
Kaitlyn Denver from Booksmart.
John Waters or Céline Sciamma. We’d go to the club.
