AAFF DVD Collection: Volume 3

The third compilation of films from the Ann Arbor Film Festival is here! This DVD makes a great holiday gift with nine award- winning and favorite films from the 48th AAFF.
Volume 3 includes independent and experimental films, including: best of 48th AAFF award-winner Beauty Plus Pity by Duke and Battersby, From the Archives of an Inventor by Stephen Wetzel, Travelling Fields by Inger Lise Hansen and Please Say Something by David OReilly. The first 200 DVDs come in a screen-printed matteboard case, printed by VGKids,and include a set of five postcards with original artwork by filmmakers Martha Colburn, Lewis Klahr, Julie Murray, Michael Robinson and Deborah Stratman. Special thanks to Advanced Media Copies in Rochester Hills, Michigan for their DVD support and replication.

Filmmaker Focus: Stephen Wetzel

December’s edition of Filmmaker Focus features Stephen Wetzel, From the Archives of an Inventora Milwaukee-based artist who, over the past decade, has created several documentary videos. His 2009 video, From the Archives of an Inventor, won a Jury Award at the 48th AAFF.  In this interview, Wetzel discusses regionalism, ethnography and the story behind From the Archives of an Inventor.
